Sunnyside Neighborhood – Portland Oregon
Sunnyside is a neighborhood just north of Hawthorne that stretches from SE 28th to SE 50th, where it meets Mt Tabor.
SE Stark, where it meets Laurelhurst, is its northern border, and SE Hawthorne is its southern border.
The Hawthorne District, which is the southern edge of this area, and SE Belmont, which is just 6 blocks north, are two incredibly nice, trendy, hip “sub-neighborhoods” within it.

Belmont is a historic street consisting with stores and ethnic restaurants, similar to Hawthorne but a little smaller.
Sunnyside is a Portland neighborhood located between two of the city’s most fashionable streets, SE Hawthorne and SE Belmont.
Its southern border is Hawthorne, which is full of bohemian, funky, hip, and local restaurants, pubs, bars, boutiques, book stores, alternative medicine horse brass pubpracticioners, and finishes at the base of Mt Tabor.
So not only do you have all the shops and restaurants you could desire, but you also have a vast gorgeous park within walking distance, complete with miles of paths, views, calm, and solitude.
Then there’s Belmont, which is to the north of Sunnyside Neighborhood and has its own character of shops and businesses before winding around the north side of Mt Tabor.
Sunnyside Neighborhood is located immediately north of Hawthorne and extends from SE 28th to SE 50th Street, where it meets Mt Tabor.

Mt Tabor is an extinct volcano in the center of the inner SE Portland metro region that has been maintained as an mt taborbeautiful large woodland park.
Mt. Tabor Park is 195 acres and has it all, including paths, staircases, and a paved road that leads to the overlook.
